it's been loose for a 2 days, tonight after his bath it was hanging very loose, so he decided to twist it of. will it grow back, and if so how long will it take

Depends how old he is, if he's a child 6-8 weeks. Might grow back a bit thicker if he has damaged the nail root.

They usually come off after bath.

he is 10 years old

Mine falls off a couple of times a year, I wouldn't worry. I think there was an initial accident and it has never been the same since.

When mine came off the new nail had already grown underneath and had forced tge other one off. Just took a few days for it to harden properly and to see it properly

Mine have fallen off too, usually when I've done a lot of running and trainers are slightly tight. They grew back!

Good luck.
