Fizzy water if you have -make you burp
Warm water
Massage your tummy in a clockwise motion

Do you have any Alka Seltzer in the house? I suffer from trapped wind quite a lot and always have this in now. Relieves the pain and also makes you burp. Blush

I had huge amounts of very painful trapped wind after stomach surgery last year and the best thing you can do is keep moving; walk, walk, walk and then walk some more.

Don't have fizzy water or alka seltzer Sad
I have diet coke but didn't think that would do me much good?
I'll try some warm (yuck) water and the massage Smile
Thankyou

What surgery jaqueline if you don't mind me asking? I had my gallbladder out a few months ago and I'm hoping it's not relating to that! I know some people have problems afterwards

try lying on ur back and raise ur knees slowly up towards ur head can sometimes help :)

Shutupanddrive · 12/03/2012 21:58

Thanks disney just tried that, though couldn't get my knees too near my head! Blush made me burp when I sat up again though. I think it is easing off a bit now

Try a spoon of bicarb of soda in a glass of water and hold a hot water bottle against the pain. A Dr friend told me this and it worked for me.

Hope you are sorted now.

It is horrible - I get it a lot. Try and get hld of some Windeze tablets - and keep a supply. They do the job for me.
