Pregnancy back pain - suggestions please!

I'm now 29 weeks pregnant and have started to suffer daily back pain which is fairly agonising. It's usually around my mid-to-upper back and mostly around my bra line. I've suffered from lower back pain on and off for years but never upper back pain.

Most articles and references online only refer to lower back pain. But I want to know what other mum-to-bes & mums have done to alleviate mid to upper back pain. Would a tummy support help? Heat pads? Yoga stretches? Swimming?

I also have a desk job and my back starts to really hurt by mid-afternoon.
Grateful for any suggestions!

Not sure how much help I will be but didn't want to leave this unanswered. I found it helped generally to have my bottom and thighs at right angles iyswim. So I had a rolled up towel on my chair to raise up my bottom which helped. Good luck

Ask your midwife about getting a support for your bump, may ease some of the pain

Talk to your midwife, you really shouldn't have to suffer. I've been referred to antenatal physio, and been given some brilliant exercises to help me. My referral came through within a week.

I have the same pains! Ante-natal class tomorrow night so going to ask physio about a solution for it. I'll let you know if I get anything useful.
