after breastfeeding DS aged 4 one of my nipples became inverted and i have also had a small breast lump since then- i have had two ultrasounds and examinations and been reassured that it is a benign cyst and also that its not unusual for this to happen to nipples after breastfeeding.

So- in last 6/8 months i've had a dull ache in armpit on same side. it comes and goes for no apparent reason. ive been to gp twice, been examined pretty thoroughly and told there are no lumps or anything to worry about.

In the last month my periods went bonkers and i've had 2x 5 day periods and 1 x10 day period in that time, so i went back to gp and saw a different one. i mentioned the under arm pain again, along with the history of my breasts and she has referred me again to breast clinic.

SO (sorry this is so long)- whereas i previously felt okay about the armpit ache and didnt worry too much, now i am terrified. what could it be? it doesnt really hurt- more a dull annoying ache, as if i am aware of a part of my body that i never really noticed before. it hurts more/ or i am more aware of it when i stretch my arm behind me for eg to reach for something.

i am really frightened now that its something awful- anyone got any experience of this or idea of what it could be? Thanks

I have had an ache there sometimes,in my case I'm sure it is the bit of breast tissue there with milk ducts,as I'm still bf. I wonder if you have a bit of a block there? The breast clinic will do an ultrasound and would be able to see any cysts etc. Try not to worry.
