Probiotics for baby

Has anyone used probiotics with their baby? Mine is 9 mo and they were recommended by a friend who thought they might help with his sleep problems (could be tummy ache).
Any advise On where to get them and what brands are good would be appreciated. Many thanks!

We use Biogaia Probiotic (used to be Infacol Drops). It's Lactobacillus Reuteri which I think is the same strain that is recommended more widely in South Africa and Australia when antibiotics are prescribed.

I used it in the early months for both DC. Didn't stay on top of it really and have just had to do a rush purchase recently as they have tummy bugs.

While I think of it, there are lots of threads on food intolerances (and/or suspected food intolerances) in babies so if he is suffering with tummy problems it might also be worth having a trawl for the collective received wisdom.
