Baby's Nappy - Sorry if it's TMI!

Okay, stupid (but legitimate) question.
My baby is three months old. Health seems fine, gaining weight well, following their line, bright, alert, happy, active and generally seems healthy.
But.... the nappies stink. I'm talking about a smell so bad that it knocks you off your feet when changing them.
It may be a really stupid thing to ask, but would a change in my diet help? Are really bad smelling nappies a sign of illness at all (they all stink, not just the odd one). I know it's a stupid question but I just want to make sure she just has a stinky bum and that nothing else is a matter.

Breastfed poo ime doesn't stink that bad. Dd's nappies were fairly sweet smelling- not particularly nice if you know what I mean but not horrible by any means. Have a chat with your HV. Also yes your diet could well affect baby's poo

It is really hard to describe the smell. It's really strong but also seems really really sickly sweet smelling.

HV then and see what she thinks. there should be a baby clinic at your surgery and if not then just ask the hv next time you see her or make an appt
