yes, and even more than that - it was reported on mainstream news Shock not just swept under the carpet as always...

there's a thread going In the News - apparently, he only appealed so as to restore his pension Hmm

anyway, good news Smile

saintlyjimjams · 07/03/2012 17:27

Well yes - as the arguments used against Wakefield were the same!

Am very happy for the lovely Walker-Smith though.

Of FFS @ only appealed to restore his pension, don't think I'll bother with that one :rolls eyes:

silverfrog · 07/03/2012 17:31

yeah, it did make me chuckle Grin

there's only a few posts, and I am tempted to do a breakdown of charges and how they relate to Wakefield/Walker Smith, but then again, it's probably not worth it...

saintlyjimjams · 07/03/2012 17:36

Nah don't bother Grin

I am getting better at resisting

saintlyjimjams · 07/03/2012 17:40

I got bored of correcting all the 'he only did it so he could sell his rival vaccine' crap that people spout. And arguing with people who can't understand that autism isn't one thing. Durr.

OP posts:
silverfrog · 07/03/2012 17:42

I do still get stuck in the 'but they can't have actually read the charges, and the verdicts, and tied up the fact that, erm, they don't really correlate' groove.

and sadly I know that is not true, but just occasionally (Blush well, quite alot, but getting better) I slip up and give it the benfit of the doubt.

never works though.

and always ends up with a 'for the greater good' argument

saintlyjimjams · 07/03/2012 17:46

Oh there's really no point. I lose 2 days if I get involved Grin

OP posts:
silverfrog · 07/03/2012 17:50

yep, that's why I am trying to resist!

can't afford to lose too much time to it all. it's so circular.

mind you, I had a friend ask 'but what about herd vaccination rates, and your social duty' the other day over dinner (when she found out dd2 was unvaccinated).

probably better I rant on here than at RL people...

saintlyjimjams · 07/03/2012 17:58

Was there a wall handy for you to bang your head against?

OP posts:
silverfrog · 07/03/2012 18:01

sadly I was on the wrong side of the table for that...

she was well up on the 'discredited' study though Hmm

thankfully it was late, and i excused myself while muttering about needing sleep etc.

don't think we'll be invited round to hers anytime soon Grin

Me too Leonie!

oh, it's a tricky one tbh.

old family friend of dh's. also dd1's godmother. don't really want to piss her off, or wind the friendship down, but she Judged. Boy did she Judge. With an actual catsbumface and everything.

ach well. you can't please all of the people all of the time...

'tis brilliant re: the appeal. really good news, and I am surprised it is being reported as widely as it is.

Is it still possible? Isn't there a deadline for appeal or something?
