Been diagnosed with: oesophagitis, pre-pyloric gastritis and dudenitis.

Been prescribed a higher dosage of ranitidine and referred to a dietician.

Any thoughts, mumsnetters? Will I be stuck with this forever? I've booked to see gp coz the reg wasn't very helpful.

Hello,

my daughter has eosinophilic eosophagitis and is awaiting a gastroscopy.

because it is an "allergy" she gets most of her nutrition from neocate, which is an amino based formula, she has it via an ng at the moment.

she is aslo on omeprazole.

can you get yourself referred to a gastr consultant?

You should have been tested for H.pylori when you had your gastroscopy. It's a bacteria that can cause problems. If your test is positive they will put you on a course of antibiotics with anti-acid medication.
If you weren't tested at the time, you can be tested with a breath test or stool sample.
Your GP would be sent results if you're not going back to a clinic.

They took biopsies for that bug, just awaiting results. Gaviscon has been my best mate for years Sad

or have you had endoscopies?
