To be pi**ed off - asthma

I went to the GPs today as i've had a bad chest for a week.
Stupid me thought it would be a virus thing and go away.( i haven't been to the Doctor for 3 years only go on pain of death )

The GP says my Asthma is back and i have a chest infection.

I feel really fed up that i am now having to take ventolin & clenil inhalers plus antibiotics.

I know i'm feeling like this as i'm bad at the moment.

Sorry for the rant, just had to get it off my chest. (pardon the pun )

That happened to me too. I refused to admit to myself that reducing my brown inhaler was a bad idea. Every cough seemed to last forever and I twice ended up with steroids for a chest infection. I went back to the inhaler and have been fine evr since-the inhalers are needed. My new brown one is called Q-Varband is the best I have had. Good luck.

Yes, i know i'm kidding myself. I've been bad for a while since Christmas..
This chest infection has finished me off, although i didn't need steroids this time.
3 years ago, i left it so long i ended up on steroids/antibiotics for 8 weeks.

I'm going to see how i do on the antibiotics and inhalers, and yes actually use the clenil.

its worth remembering that the uk deaths are mainly the people with 'mild' asthma. those that forget to take their daily preventor meds. the ones with severe asthma never forget. 1500 people died from asthma a year in uk.

so be responsible. remember this is asthma, as in difficulty BREATHING if not controlled.

I've had Asthma all my life. I had it alot worse as a child.

OH yesterday, told me to think about the DC and what if i died, they would have no Mum.
I can tell you it brought me down to earth with a bump and i gave in and went to the Doctors.

I have renewed my pre payment card, so i can order all the meds. i will need.

My chest feels better since i've been taking the ventolin. . Even though the clenil makes me feel sick i am taking it as prescribed.
