How long to recover?

I have had some type of virus which started last tues evening, so it's been around 6 days. The usual flu type symptoms (aching, cold sweats, headaches leading into nasty cough and some nausea later on). Thing is, I still feel terrible.

After resting for most of the day, I got up to have a bath, tidy a bit, put washing on and now I feel knackered and dizzy again! How long do these things go on for?

Hi, I remember feeling like this last year, and it took Me two weeks to properly feel better. Everyday I thought I was on the mend, and then I'd start feeling crap again, I think rest is the key basically, hope you feel better soon hun.

Thanks Haswalnutcake4tea. It's so frustrating. I do feel a lot better than I did though. Still getting horrible night sweats though. Have to get up in the night and change my clothes/sheets. Never had anything quite that awful before, even post birth!

Thankfully the DC are in nursery today and tomorrow and usually at PIL on a wed, so fingers crossed for another 2 days of peace and recuperation.
