Have had one done yesterday and was wondering how long the sensitivity would usually last, anyone with any experience??

About a week in my experience - I've had this done on two fillings. The other thing to be aware of is that composite doesn't move at all once the filling's finished, so if the filling is in a place where it bites on another tooth, and the bite isn't absolutely perfect, the dentist will have to adjust the surface that touches the other tooth.
