Baby thermometer

Hi all, can someone recommend a thermometer that can measure quickly the temperature from the ear?
I already have one (brother Max) but it takes a bit too long to measure the temperature and as result it is almost impossible to measure the temperature on a wriggly toddler.
Thank you.

This thread is old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for recommendations, we’ve recently updated our best baby thermometer page with lots of great options, including in-ear ones, as recommended by parents – we hope you find it useful. Flowers

I have got the nurofen one, it was about 15quid and it beeps within a couple of seconds. It gives you the temperature plus a green, orange or red face depending on whether the child has a high temp.
I think Braun do a highly recommended one but that is 30quid or so and the nurofen one does the trick for less money!

I've got a cheap calpol one (probably similar to the nurofen one!)

I have a Braun one.it takes a couple of seconds. Our GP uses the same one.
If you have advantage card points it might be worth using them to buy one in Boots?

I second the Braun one (I have the Braun Thermoscan). It's used in hospitals round here. Bit pricier than the others but really worth it.

The probe/ear cover thingies cost extra but you really can use them more than once if you are testing on the same child/family.

The Nurofen one I tried just kept giving me an error and taking too long.
