Sweating problem help !!

Over the last year or so have started to have a problem of sweating just under arms which leaves wet patches thankfully no odour its so emabarring though and i feel restricted as to what clothes i can wear and if its not black i always need a cardi incase to hide anything. Ive tried all sorts of deodrants which claim to keep you dry for 24 - 48 - 78 hrs non of which have any effect ive even tried sure's deodrant especially for wetness at £6 for a small spray.
If anyones had this problem or has any advice what i can do i would be very gratefull ..

I'm the same but mine's worse as it tends to get a bit infected after a while and smell dreadfully. I've had loads of things from the GP but I now find the best thing is Sure/Dove max strength cream deo. Use it at night as well as in the morning for max efficacy.

I also put a little antibac hand gell on each pit after showering. Stings like hell if I've just shaved but seems to keep the worst of the smells and infections at bay.

It could be worth seeing your gp. They can prescribe things which might help. I've heard that Botox can be useful but not looked into it yet.

My friend had botox in her armpits last year as she was very concious of sweating - worked wonderfully and lasted a full 6 months

The GP can prescribe a roll on which actually stops you sweating completely... so get thee to a doctor. Botox paralyses the sweat glands so is also very effective - but temporary and expensive.

I know you've said you've tried everything - but just in case you haven't quite...Mitchum is the only anti-perspirant I've found that actually does anything!

Yes go to the GP or even try the chemist - it was a few years ago I had this problem, it ruined my self confidence! I made an appointment to see the GP but in the meantime I found something in the chemist for this problem that you had to apply 2 or 3 times a day for a week, it sorted me out. I felt like a new woman!

I have this too. I always thought it wasn't safe to stop your pits from sweating completely. But dont really know why I thought that Does anyone know anything about this..? (Apols for slight hijack!)

I found that swapping treatments is helpful. The roll on stopped working after a while like everything else.

You need to sweat to cool down. If you didn't sweat your core temp could go too high. I'm not sure how this works in practice but its obviously safe!

i had heard sprays are usess but the cream roll ons best is that what you've found

Driclor works for me. Use at night time on freshly washed completely dry armpits, two strokes each side, wash off in the morning and use your regular deodorant. Use nightly for about a week then you can cut back. I use it once every 3-4 weeks now.

Driclor or Anhydrol Forte work to stop you sweating under your arms. I used to suffer from chronic sweaty palms so bad that they dripped in sub zero temperatures and was prescribed both but they weren't really effective for hand sweating. I ended up having a permanent fix by way of surgery but this is obviously last resort.
