Stretch marks on DD14

Does anyone know of any creams that really work to improve stretch marks?
My DD14 has some on the top of her thighs and she's really self conscious of them. I found a cream on the internet that all the reviews said was fantastic but it costs around £70!!

Bio oil is meant to be good. I bought some for dd1 as she too is conscious despite me telling her they;ll fade. I don't know if it's helped at all, but the placebo effect means she's happier as she feels she's helping!

I got load of stretch marks when I hit puberty especially round my hips and bosoms. I hated them but they faded. I would have felt less self conscious if I'd known they were normal and loads of teenagers- male and female had them. Instead I fretted and worried and my mother was useless and wouldn't even tell me what they were when I asked.
I agree with the placebo effect. I used to rub cream in mine after I discovered what they were and at least I felt I was doing something.

I'd go with bio oil to try and help them getting any worse and a fading cream to see if the redness can be reduced.

I've got stretchmarks from growing from the tops of my thighs to my waist, they were awful when they were red but are almost invisible and silvery now.

I've used a skin doctors fading creams for acne scars and had good results (didn't believe it would work so very happy) - www.skindoctors.co.uk/products/sd-white-50ml - I got it in Boots and not cheap, but not £70. there are cheaper versions as well. Sparing use on just the red bits might help and not use too much.

Thankyou all for your replies. I bought some Bio oil today. Her stretch marks have never been red just silvery. I've told her how and why they happen and that they can hardly be seen ( they are very faint) but it's the end of the world to her! I tell her every day how beautiful she is hopefully it will sink in !
