Swollen glands I think?

Currently have really dull throbbing pain under my ear and along my jaw line. It also becomes stabbing and stingy at times. I went to docs who says it is nothing to do with my ear but I do have swollen glands and a bit red inside mouth at the bottom. I am on day three of amoxycillin but no improvement yet and I am taking ibuprofen. Could this be a cyst or something else? I can't sleep as it hurts so much...... Any suggestions

I think you should see dentist in case you have an abscess

Do you think I would be able to feel it if I prod around in my mouth in that area? It feels a bit tender in the bottom of my mouth but not near a tooth and doesn't feel like a lump.

Not sure, I think you need to go and get a dental x-ray done.
