I take 80mg a day for anxiety and have experienced the following:

Headaches
Dizziness
Weird painful blisters on the bottom of both feet

What side effects have you had and what advice were you given?

I'm not on it now but I had it for panic attacks and palpitations. They over prescribed me so the main side effect for me was horrendous tiredness even when they reduced the dosage. I was like a zombie for about 6 months.

I took it to help control my migraines from around 10 - 15ish - so did my brother, neither of us had any symptoms. He is still on it 20+years later I only stoped as i use to do competertive sport and would ALWAYS fail a drug test.

My neice also takes it for her heart issues again no side affects that i know of.

I am on it too for migraines (and I dont think it is helping me).

I get headaches and dizziness too - funnily enough I was given it to help with dizziness caused by migraines. I also get really cold feet and hands and aching legs on it. I can't sleep very well - I was always a great sleeper but now struggle with my sleep. When I first started it I was getting chest pains too but they have stopped now.

My doctor told me to just live with the side effects - not helpful really but nothing much I could do.

Speak to your doc. I took propranolol for 6 months after I was diagnosed with Graves disease to calm down my palpitations. I didn't suffer from any side effects. Only your doc can help to be honest. Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.

My sister took them when she was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid, she didn't have any side effects tho, go to your dr and see what he says.

Anyone else experience weight gain? Have been on them 2 mths and just feel like my whole system has slowed down. They seem to have affected my metabolism :(

UtterlyButterly · 02/03/2012 01:09

I have found that I can't stop eating but I go through this every so often so not sure if it's related.

They have been making me feel very peculiar, nauseous and dizzy, the only thing that makes it go away is eating!

Yes I've had weight gain too - not much but some. I can't stop eating either!

UtterlyButterly · 02/03/2012 09:32

I'm glad it's not just me!

The problem is it's starting to get me down because I really don't want to get big again but when I 'have' to eat I don't care. Then feel horrible and guilty afterwards.

I can't not have the tablets but I really need to control my eating
