How much yoghurt do I need to eat/drink to avoid thrush?

Am on Amoxycillin for a week as I have an chest infection that has spread to my lungs Am really keen to avoid getting thrush on top of this and know I need the "good" bacteria (as I have now been conditioned to call them) but how much yoghurt do I need to eat to get the benefits? Am happy to buy those overpriced little drinks for a week to do this but again, how many?

TIA

get acidopholus from health food store- much more effective

Agree with Mud - live yoghurt on its own will help but acidophilus is better.

Sounds like good advice. Thanks, both of you

definatly buy the capsules, much better than the drinks, especially if you buy a good brand.

Best advice I ever got re. thrush - Is a bit gross so squemish people look away now......... I had thrush and was told by the doctor to soak a tampon in the yoghurt and then insert in - worked an absolute charm !!!

I have done that before now, but am hoping to prevent rather than find a cure! Will bear it in mind though!
