Picks Disease

Hi my MIL has recently been diagnosed with Picks Disease (form of Dementia), although she had been showing signs for about 14 months. Over the last fortnight her behaviour has become increasingly erratic and rather concerning. My DH has just recieved a call to say that her Dr has now recommended that she needs 'to be taken' for her own good. We have persuaded them to visit her in her own hom rather than just taking her to a place which will, naturally, freak her out.

Does anyone have knowledge/experience of this? If they do 'take her away' will she be allowed home ever again? I have read every single website I can find but it's still nice to hear of personal experiences.

Thank you Cx

I think you need to get some information about what other options might be available, so you can make a more informed choice for your MIL.
