Unusually heavy period. Cause for concern?

TMI alert!

I'm having a very heavy period, with blood clots. This is unusual for me.

I used to get heavy periods when in my teens / 20s, but they're pretty light these days, and have been for years. (I'm 36).

A period like this is very unusual for me. should I be concerned at all?

I feel a bit silly asking, I should be old enough to know about periods by now! ;)

Very small possibility. Supposedly TTC but chance would be a fine thing! Had poorly DS in bed with us in the middle of the month, so pretty much scuppered this month.

There was one time at the beginning of the month but I thought it was too early.

Actually can't totally blame DS but that's another thread!

My period's right on time so unlikely to be an early MC isn't it?
