Diverticulitis

Can anyone help me with this please? My Mum has been diagnosed with diverticulitis. She also has cirrhosis of the liver. She vomits for days on end and I'm chasing the doctor now for more dietary advice.

Anyone on this board know more about a diet which deals with diverticulitis or how to manage it? I've googled but just get info on the type of diet, but not how to manage it all.

Thanks!

Hi lemon My brother in law suffers with diverticulitis. He had a cyst and a real bad infection due to this last year, he was in hospital for a few days with it. The doctors have advised him to have plenty of fibre in his diet, and he also has to take a couple of sachets of fybogel a day.
The doctors told him to stop smoking and drinking beer.

My MIL has suffered from it. She avoids anything with small seeds ie raspberry, tomatoes and skin ie cucumber

Thank you both!
