gastric band surgery

has anyone out there had a band fitted recently, my gp wants to refer me but i need some more info.

Before going for gastric band surgery you should check out this site: www.gastricbandsurgeryuk.com which has some interesting information and talks about a non-surgical weight loss and body shaping therapy which is done under medical supervision.

I am currently doing this myself having decided against gastric band surgery and have lost 5 stone in less than 5 months with no saggy skin and just 2 months to go to reach my goal!

In addition to not wanting to have surgery I wasn't too impressed with being told I could expect to lose up to 60% of my excess weight in up to 2 years.
