itching!

I was woken up this morning by an intense itch behind my right ear, then I quickly realised that my whole body was itching like mad! and i've come up in hives.

Have got an appt with Nurse Practioner in an hour and a half and I took and anti-histamine as soon as i got up but half an hour later I am still itching like mad.

The only thing I can think of is that I had some itching down below the last two nights and I used Canesten (was going to make an appt today to get checked anyway).
Surely this can't be a reaction to the Canesten cream? I've used it before and never had any problems.

Well she was baffled, said it could be a reaction to the Canesten, but she's not convinced by that. Or a delayed reaction to the trimethropin I was on last week. (she said given I have penicillin allergy she can't rule out me developing allergy to other meds too) but she would have expected an instantaneous reaction.

But it's very definitely an allergic reaction/rash. She's baffled, and I'm a little worried that I've had a random reaction and can't pin point the cause.
