Repeated stomach problems

I'm at my wits end and hoping that someone can help or been through something similar. Since the 1st of January my tummy has not been right. The doc first thought it was H Pyloris but it ended up being a bacteria called Aeronomas which is found in water and fish. People usually get this if they are into water sports and diving etc. I'm Not. I've assumed that i got it off scallops that i had on new years eve. Anyway it seemed to go away as doc said that my body should just get rid of it. But last week i felt ill, my food was lying in my stomach etc. On sunday I was vomiting and went back to doc. She said i was just unlucky and probably got a bug. Since then my stomach feels so yukky. I have started taking lanzaprazole for acid reflux which is not helping at all.

Last night when i went to bed i could not stop burping and it was horrible eggy burps - it was like i had been drinking loads of fizzy drinks. I have still got it this morning - does anyone know what this could mean? I'm at my wits end as i just want to be well again and get on with life and looking after my children.

if you are still reading thanks! it's quite long.
any advise would be greatly appreciated.

There are many different types of aeronomas bacteria and each one requires different treatment. This does not necessarily go away of its own accord.

I would return to the GP asap and if GP is unsure ask for a referral to a specialist.

Attilla - have you had experience of Aeronomas?

I'm waiting to get results back (hopefully today) to see if it's still in my system. They did say that they would give me antibiotics if that was the case although it can sit in your system and not make you ill.

I'm still burping eggs!

How old are your DC? I found that when I first started attending toddler groups (usually one a day) we all had constant tummy bugs for about a year.

Not so many now they are at school.

they are 3 and 1...to be ill for 7 weeks is just not normal.
