I had my DS 10 months ago, and since then, i have barely been well. Is it a co-incidence, or is my immune system really low?
I've taken to bed 3 times in the past few months, high temperature, vomiting, diarrhoea, etc. have had blocked sinuses, and 2 colds too. I have taken more time off work in the past 6 months than ever before. Any suggestions?
What can I do to boost my immune system?

I am not a medical person, but it does take the body quite a while to get back to its pre-pregnancy state. If you only had him 10 months ago, are now caring for a 10 month old, and working, and dealing with cold weather, I am not surprised that you have been ill. It does sound like your immune system is low. No suggestions other than rest when you can and sympathy for you - it is hard to be feeling constantly ill!
Hope you feel better soon.

vmcdonald28 - OMG you could be me!!! I've not heard of anyone else being so ill after having a baby!!!

Before ds2 (2yr) I never had a cold or any other illness, infact I dont' think I'd been ot the docs for about 3years. Except for a virus that I had a few months before I concieved.

After he was born I seemed more suspectible to colds etc.

But since dd's birth 3 months ago, I am a walking virus magnet . Every cold, bug and sore throat comes my way!!!

I'm a bit of a fresh air freak and always have bedroom windows open and central heating off at night, but I can not seem to shake these bugs.

December was mad with the whole family becoming ill, on and off, but I know everyone else on the October 05 babies thread were having similar probs.

So I'll be watching this thread for some advice!!!

Whoops sorry about spelling , I was jsut soo excited that someone had the same prob as me!!

thank goodness someone else feels like this! i just feel down all the time too, cos i'm so fed up with feeling so ill. i worry sometimes that there might be some underlying cause, but the GP looks at me as if i'm daft!
