Should not have gone to specsavers

My new glasses have arrived. The optician said there would be a minor change. Well they are really blurry on one side. Slight change my eye (heh heh heh).
Apparently my astigmatism had changed from 160 to 40 whatever that means. They have sent me home with them to try them out for a couple of days. I have had them on for ten mins and they seem to be getting worse.
How have my eyes changed so much without me noticing?
(I had to get new ones coz my glasses snapped, irreparable and they wouldn't give me new glasses without a recent eye test )

Has someone got it wrong or will my eyes get used to them? :(

Specsavers switched the lenses on me once. Get them checked.

Go back.

There could have been an error with the putting of the lenses in the glasses or there could have been a mistake in the processing so the lenses are wrong and not the correct prescription.

Or the person who did the eye test got it wrong.

Go back and ask for everything to be rechecked.

And dont drive there with them on!

Go back - I'm afraid that I've heard more bad things than good about specsavers .
Though apparently they franchise shops so it all depends on which branch you go to - you might be lucky and find a good one .

So they are crap all over the world then, as I am in new Zealand! But both the opticians were British Confused
I will take them back tomorrow am. I was told I only had slight change to my prescription so they must have made a mistake.
I was so desperate for my new glasses as my spare ones were also broken and the arms have been shrink wrapped back on, which is hardly a long term solution ....
