Period pains all month

Does anyone have any idea why I would have period type pains and cramps all month. Feels like I'm about to come on my period, but I've had them since the day after my period ended. Has anyone else had this - a bit worried about possible cysts or something. I've also been feeling sick. Thank you.

pregnant?

loopydoo · 14/02/2012 14:45

Check whether you're pregnant.

If not, could it be ovulation pain? Or fibroids?

Reenypip · 14/02/2012 14:49

I'm having this problem currently too. I'm not pregnant either.
I had an op in January to remove appendix and they found a burst cyst too.
But since then (has my period two weeks ago) I've got constant period pains.

BlissfulHousewife · 14/02/2012 14:53

And me. Mine is in the firm f low back pain - the type I usually only get at the start of a crappy period.

I have also had some bleeding between periods.

No idea what is causing it but its damn annoying.

I would ask the GP to refer you to a gynae and do not take no for an answer.

Endometriosis may be to blame here.

Reenypip: I would speak to the hospital about the problems you have experienced post op. Its not normal and its not something that you should put up with. What sort of cyst btw did they find?.

feelinghappynow · 14/02/2012 16:42

Same here. Had tests and scans for appendicitis and ovarian cysts and cancer. No other symptoms and gp no idea. He's written to hospital to see what else they can suggest. I'm sick of the pains and the fact they have no idea what's going on.

Get to your Dr for tests. Good luck..

Thanks for the replies, I am not pregnant so I'll go back to the doctors for some more tests. I think I'll have to insist on a referral, he acted as if I was wasting his time when I went a couple of weeks ago. Thanks again
