your child bang his/her head and then they have become drowsy/headache/vomiting?

i only ask as ds2 is 6 and so far has managed to do this twice causing us a worrying trip to A & E !!

No. they've all banged heads but never gone drowsy or been sick. This is how I justify not going to A&E for the evening with a load of drunks!!

Flamesparrow · 24/01/2006 20:24

Nope... broken arm before the age of 2 though if that makes you feel any better

Had to take DD to A & E because she fell and landed on the corner of the skirting board by the front door and cut herself on the back of her head.

She wasn't drowsy / vomiting / headachy though - just bleeding!!!!

This time he fell off his bike but he WAS wearing a helmet and still ends up concussed!

Yep! Ds 1 managed to do this about 20 months ago. He wasn't drowsy, but started vomitting 7 hours after he banged his head. We took him to A&E, he was x-rayed and we were sent home as everything was fine.

My 8yr old is always banging his head especially at school, had a letter home today saying he has done it again. (third time in 4wks)

I've only had to take him to A&E once because of it though and that was just a precaution because another boy had deliberately smashed ds's head into a brick wall.

DS2 (2yrs) also bangs his head a lot, did it in tesco today, I think my boys must be clumsy
