General anathestics

Up until I was 20 years old, I've never had a general anathestic.
Because of my spinal cord injury, spinal fractures and other health problems, I've had lots of general anathestics
Can multiple general anathestics affect the body in any way? Or reduce life span?

Just a random question.

As far as I'm aware the multiple anaesthetics shouldn't shorten your life span, but the repeated stress of surgery including the stress of hospital admission and disruption to your life may constitute stressful life events which theoretically could shorten your lifespan I guess.
Having said that, you are having surgery for good reasons, which are ultimately reducing other stresses. So probably overall increasing your lifespan compared to if you didn't have surgery.
Does that make sense???
