Is this normal?!

I hit my head and fractured my nose 10 days ago. I'm having an operation to fix the nose next week. My concussion symptoms have mostly gone except, I am really short-tempered and frustrated. This is VERY unlike me. I feel quite out of control. For example: my BF cooked me a lovely meal but missed out one ingredient and I screamed and swore. Blush I didn't even care that much and the meal was lovely. I just feel really on edge and not myself.

Maybe you should see your GP to find out if this is normal and may ease, or if you need a referral to see a specialist about this. I hope you get this sorted, as I'm sure you won't want to live with feeling ready to blow up with othersover minor things.

Are you in pain ? And are you taking any meds? I suffer from severe chronic pain 24/7 and it can cause me to be short tempered and snappy etc. medication can sometimes do this do. Also withdrawal effects from medicine can do this.

I felt 'unusual' for a month after a head injury. I would mention it however.

I've taken a few punches at work and for a while after I would get very irritable and short tempered. Do get checked though, it can sometimes be the shock that makes you react like this
