my 15 mths old DD's wee smells very strong first thing in the mornings

she drink alot of water every day as she likes it but every mprning when i changed her first nappy of the day its so strong teh smell

is that normal?

So's mine (sorry TMI!) I think your wee is a lot more concentrated first thing in the morning, isn't that why they advise you to do pg tests then?

It's normal - you don't drink overnight (or if you do you don't drink as much as during the day) so your wee is more concentrated and therefore stronger.

And if you're talking about changing her nappy when you wake her up, the smell is probably because there's more than one wee in it, and some of them have been sitting there for hours.

agree with WWB - that the simple explanation is that some of the wee is a bit stale so whiffs a bit!
