OK do DH has little red spots - raised all over his body - maybe 60, for about 8 days.

At first he thought they were Chicken Pox (he has never had it) bu they didn't change.

They are itchy - but not to the point it can wake himup at night.
Now he thinks they are fleas (they aren't - according to Dr Goodle) and anyway I don't have any.

If they were bites etc wouldn't they have gone by now?
IThey get itchier after a shower.
I am threatening to drag him to drs - as he is quite happy complaining re: them!
WDYT??

Most itchy rashes will feel worse after a shower because the heat can flare up the itching and soaps/shower gels make the skin drier.

Bit of a mystery though. Are they everywhere? Or just some places? Any blisters? Any in his scalp or in his bits?

Any fever or other symptoms - puking etc?

eandemum · 09/02/2012 21:28

Mystery is right! No other symptoms at all!
None in scalp/face/or bits!!

Only arms legs trunk

Makes sense re:shower heat

I will try him on piriteze (spelling?) & not play dot to dot on him Wink

Allergic reaction?

purpleroses · 09/02/2012 21:32

New washing powder? You can tell whether it's allergy by trying antihistimines. Allergy rash = usually v small spots though, not like chicken pox.

I had an allergic reaction to some medicine once and came up in tiny red dots all over my arms/legs/stomach and my face was very red and flushed. I went to the doctor panicking that I had some tropical disease (I had just come back from travelling) and they worked out what it was and prescribed me piriton.

Very dry skin due to dry cold weather and central heating? Get him greased up!

My DH got strange itchy small red bumps. He's been doing paleo diet and turns out the amount of spinach / cabbage / leafy green veg were giving him an allergic reaction. Soon went away when diet changed.

I'd second an allergic cause given where they are.
