Rea curing mouth ulcers/oral thrush

Hi,

My mouth is full of sores/ulcers and it seems to happen every month with my period.

Sometimes are worse than others' like now I cannot eat or speak with out crying Sad

I have been to my gp (over the years have seen many different ones) and always get given a mouth rinse and sometimes oral thrush cream (sometimes the gp decides that its not thrush related).

I realise this sounds dramatic, but it is ruining my life!
I'm a sahp atm and its hard enough trying to cope with my 18mth and 4yr olds, I would no way be able to get and keep a job as I would have to take 3-5 days off a month!!!

Sorry for the self-pity Blush

I keep a good oral hygiene routine I just dont know what to do.

Mouth ulcers can really make your life a misery, so you aren't being over dramatic. There are a few conditions that can cause mouth ulcers to be more severe and keep coming back, and you should get investigated to see if yours are due to one of these. For instance, I had mouth ulcers all the time until I was diagnosed with coeliac disease - just thought that was the way I was, but since then I've had one a year at most. My dad has just been diagnosed with a rare condition as his mouth ulcers are huge and horrid.

So don't get fobbed off again, say that you'd like to get to the bottom of why these are occuring as it has a significant impact on your life.

Thanks CMOT,

I will get DH to take me to the Drs tomorrow (I need him to translate for me!)

I will NOT get fobbed off again even though I don't like to make a fuss
