Night sweats

For 3 months now I have been having night sweats - so bad that I am changing pyjamas, sheets.. 5 times a night. The doctor is stumped - they have done numerous blood tests, chest xrays and have found nothing. They have suggested t might to do with breastfeeding ( my daughter is 8 months old). Has anyone else experienced this?

peri menopause?

Do you have any other symptoms? An overactive Thyroid can cause night sweats.

Are you also losing weight?

Not losing weight, have been checked for both menopause and thyroids all clear. The doctor is stumped as there is no other symptoms. I am in good health apart from the night sweats

I had terrible night sweats when I was breast feeding too.

it's most likely low oestrogen levels- the same reason that BF stops ovulation.

My friend had terrible night sweats when bfing all of her children, and then had them again when entering peri menopause and had lots of investigations to rule anything else out
