Mental dullness and St Johns Wort

Greetings all, a bit of guidance required here. DS2 born July 05 and since then I have been experiencing anxiety attacks, not terribly regular but just often enough for me to know what they are, hyperventilation, crying, fearfulness, sadness etc. I now have dizziness and 'black spot' vision, sleeplessness and generally what I would call mental dullness. Gracious, just writing this makes me feel awful. I sound a wreck. I think I am over tired (no more than 5 hours uninterrupted since son was born) but what can I do - if they don't sleep so well than that's that! and you can remedy the black circles under your eyes with a quick trip to the MAC counter. My friends have suggested I try St Johns Wort to help me over this 'heavy' period. I don't want to feel depressed, I know it is coming, so I am acting now. Any thoughts on SJW and how it may have helped you? Has anyone taken the tincture-that would be my preference.

yes I think it is good - the tincture better than the pills IMO. Takes a few weeks to work though. Try try try to get plenty of sleep, eat properly, excercise if you can bear it and dont worry about the mental dullness - thats part and parcel of having a baby imo . Do you have someone you can talk to about how you feel?
