c-section scar - what are the risks in RL?

I picked up my friend's son to help him climb into the boot for the school run (there is a seat!). He must be 10lbs heavier than my daughter so around about 4 stone and my 7 week c section scar just feels 'sensitive'. I'm really pissed off with myself for not even thinking and now it could put my gym regime back.

Other than scarring badly what are the risks of pulling a scar?

Don't know, but didn't want to you to be unanswered, I hope you are ok.

After my second cs I was regularly carrying my 2.5 year old ds to bed each night - I know he weighed much less than 4 stone, but I did it every night from about a week after my cs. Probably very very stupid, but I had no help, dh had gone back to work, ds was going through a hellish phase of not going to sleep in his own bed so each night I had to carry him to his own bed. I think I probably slowed down my recovery because I had scar pain for about 3 months, instead of the very quick recovery from my first cs. But then who knows, I might have had the pain anyway even if I did nothing more strenuous than lift a cup of tea to my mouth.

sorry, posted a bit too soon.

I'm sure you won't suffer any lasting damage... don't do it again though!

I carry my own DS, who is nearly 2 stone but didn't do that for 5 weeks, which was hellish. It's my third c-section and the other two i just cracked on but this one was so close to the last one and i had bladder/ uterus fusing issues. I'm just so cross that a) i didn't even hold my own son for weeks to help healing and b) bit more selfishly i was on the road to C25K.
