its not every night, but at least 3 times a week. This has been for a few weeks now and I am starting to get a little concerned.

What could it be do you think? Should I take him to the doctors? Could it be lack of calcium or anything like that?

I have to give him Nurofen/Calpol so he can go back to sleep.

Any advice gratefully received!

Get it checked out asap.

It could be growing pains but it could be a lot worse, as a friend found out with her ds. I don't want to scare you so no details, but do get it checked out.

dd gets this sometimes - she puts a support bandage on which generally sends herback to sleep - never been sure if it really works or if its just a thingywotist (word totally escaping me for things that don't actually do anything but have a effect iyswim). i have always assumed its growing pains and she hasn't had it for a while. No lunavix has got me worried. If it's stopped, lunavix, would you still get it checked?

JenumGeranium · 22/01/2006 22:08

What kind of thing would the doctor do then? Blood tests?

I am really worried too now-my ds has this about once or twice a month-wakes up almost incosolable-then it fades and he calms enough to have calpol.
Assumed growing pains-but really anxious now

JenumGeranium · 22/01/2006 22:11

Yes I too thought it was growing pains or an excuse to get in our bed!
