DD (6) came down with high temp and nasty cough/difficult breathing during the night Sunday. Took her to the GP Mon am - chest clear, said, rest, fluids, calpol etc. If she gets worse come back. Viral, he said, so no antibiotics, and I don't want to dose her unnecessarily. Also using her puffer to try and settle the rapid breathing.

She is still very high fever (39.5 plus) especially at night, and just looks and is very poorly. Very shallow fast breathing as well.

Not sure whether another visit to the doc will really do her any good but this is her third day of being consistently poorly so I just feel a bit helpless really.

Would you go back? TIA.

I would say yes. The doctor did say if she is getting worse to go back and from the sounds of it, you are worried. So I would take her back
