I stupidly did some jogging on the Wii the other day while my knee was hurting a bit and now it's completely swollen, top and right side (right knee) and I can't walk properly. Please call me a prat first and then offer words of wisdom as to what I should do to help it heal. Tia

I would try icing it for 20 minutes 3 times a day, and taking ibuprofen or paracetamol to reduce the swelling.

Also rest as much as possible with your foot elevated.

Hope it gets better soon.

I am NOT a physic but I understand this is the current advice: Rest, Ice, Comfortable support, Elevation for a couple of days. I understand the jury is currently out on when to start Ibuprofen (some say after 48 hours is better than immediately but it's your choice. Not very helpful). Avoid heat, alcohol (because you will fall over and hurt it again), overworking it and massaging it for the first few days. After that work it gently.

whoops not a PHYSIO!

I can claim almost the same except it's my left knee!

Oh thanks for advice. Have just come back to this. It's slowly improving but still hurts and is swollen. Horrible isn't it member ? Hope yours is better soon as well.
