Woke up yesterday with a few little itchy red very tiny spots, mainly on my arms. More have developed and I now have a good amount (although not absolutely covered iykwim?) they are on arms, legs tummy and back, so everywhere but my face really. They are painless, just very itchy.

I'm not prone to rashes, not changed washing powder, eaten anything strange or been anywhere out the ordinary, no pets either. Any ideas anyone?

Just googled, not that. Thanks though.

Worried it is shingles but everything says that should be painful..

Shingles follows a single nerve so is very restricted in terms of location and would not be all over. It is very painful (according to my MumGrin)

Have you recently had any type of viral infection, such as a cold? You can get a rash afterwards, which is an allergic response to the virus. I have had this a time or two, and gp just gave me antihistamines to reduce the itching. Hope you feel better soon.

If it is that, it shouldn't last too long. Hope you are already feeling much better.
