Just wondered if anyone has got any thoughts on this. I've been for an ultrasound today to try and find out why I'm getting left sided pelvic pain. It's just started happening in the last few months and I've had some spotting as well - irregular. Have a mirena coil and haven't had any periods for the last couple of years until this spotting started. My coil is still in place and the GP has done blood tests and booked the scan.
I went along fairly relaxed about it but the lovely radiologist has slightly scared me. She couldn't get a decent picture with a stomach one so had to do an internal. Was really chatty as she was doing it until she suddenly went quiet, started waggling the probe about at alarming angles and then, of course, couldn't say anything about the results. I need to book an appointment at my GPs. If everything was fine would she have been able to say it was fine? Has anybody else had this and was it something sinister? Am now getting myself all in knots about it especially as my GP's booking system is useless and they can generally offer you an appointment 3 weeks on Thursday unless you can prove you're dying so may well have a bit of a wait!
