A week or two ago, I had the sensation of having a splinter in my finger, but couldnt see anything, so forgot about it.
It's on my left index finger, almost in the middle of the pad, or at least I think thats what it's called - the "fingerprint" area, iyswim.

But over the past few days, the sensation is there again, and getting more noticeable. There is a tiny little lump, which can only JUST be seen, but I can feel it. The area is a little uncomfortable but not painful. It is possibly a tiny bit numb too.
What the hell?
I've never had a wart - could it be the start of one?
Or should I prod about at it with a needle, to see if it is a splinter?

Anyone?

SpanishFly · 26/01/2012 19:56

Mrs Snaplegs - thats what I suggested in my post! Grin

But I've never had one, so dont know if the symptoms match...?

Cats, what if it IS a wart, wont I damage things? Confused

My DH had something identical to this just last week. He had had it for a while.
Went to the chemist and the pharmacist said it was a wart. He used Bazooka gel and it went.

Sounds warty to me as well. I have got one in the same spot. I can get rid of it and then months later the bugger is back Angry

MrsSnaplegs · 26/01/2012 20:35

Yes spanishfly spotted that on a second readGrin

I saw this and thought of a wedding ring!! Then realised it wasn't in Relationships or Chat!

Maybe soak your finger/ hands in warm water and then get a magnifying glass and a good light. i'd look hard before poking about as you can make your finger sore and red and obscure what you're looking for if you poke before you know what you're poking at IYSWIM!
