Done something to my bloody back...

Would like to say it was by doing something really exciting but the thing that seemed to tip it from aching to agony was taking stuff out of the washing machine

What can chiropractors, osteopaths, physios do to help? I'm not really sure who I need, but think I need to do something. Yesterday was awful, I couldn't stand straight, couldn't sit or lie down, I didn't know what to do with myself, but today I can stand, not straight, but upright at least. I can't bend at all.

It depends om the mechanism of injury ie how exactly did you hurt your back?
I'd be reluctant to let chiropractor pull me about until I'd been checked out by a doctor. I see so many people that have been having physio which is doing more harm than good.

Sod the doctor, see a chiro or physio. I went to the doctor, having been not able to walk properly for several days, and the only thing he could suggest was painkillers, complete rest, and coming back in a MONTH if no better. Because that is oh so practical for most people!

I had three visits to a (private) physio, was noticeably better after the first and totally sorted by the third. I went in to the first session hardly able to walk, getting in and out of a car was a long process.

No wonder so many working days are lost to back pain with how crap the doctor was! It cost about £40 a session I think.
