Unbearable headache

I have had a horrible cold for he last 3 days. I'm 11 weeks pregnant so have avoided taking anything, but last night I developed the worst headache I have ever had, and it's still there now. My nose has been totally blocked up, so my gut feeling is sinus trouble, but it feels like my head is being crushed, and every move makes me almost cry in pain. It's especially bad when I have to bend down to pick anything up. Has anyone experienced similar, and at what point should I call dr/midwife?

It could be sinusitis, it could be something else. Even if its 'just' sinusitis you may develop a fever which can be dangerous in pregnancy.

Sounds like sinusitis which is extremely painful

One thing that helps immedately is steam inhalations. I have a steroid inhaler for my sinuses - they might prescribe during pregnancy. I also find ibuprofen helpful, but you probably won't be able to take that. If they're infected you'll need antibiotics - watch out for your temperature going up.

It's worth a visit to see the gp to see if you can have steroids prescribed though.
