Just to be clear the levels of fungicide found in orange juice is below the EU limits, however if that doesn't instil you with confidence and you want to be extra sure, just wanted everyone to know that the pure pressed variety ("not from concentrate") juice with bits available at the biggest supermarket in the UK (own brand) is from Brazil. I contacted their customer service and got it confirmed today.
I asked as my wife is pregnant and wanted to be extra cautious and there was nothing on the packaging. Not wanting to scare anyone but the US with it's culture of suing everyone tends to be ahead of the game on most of these things, where as the EU takes a nap. The US has no limit on this fungicide as it is banned. The EU plans to review their guidance on the fungicide.
The UK Food Standards Agency as usual will be the very last to act or have any information.
