Post op gallbladder advise.... I'm so sore and bloated...

Has anyone had gallbladder surgery? I had a laporoscopic gallbladder removal on friday and I am in so much discomfort!

My bellie has ballooned to pregnancy proportions and I am so uncomfortable. I know they said the gas they use in surgery should go after 24 hours - but I am still full of gas! So much so that it is pressing on my ribs and making it hard to take a deep breath. I find I have no appetite as it feels like I am full all the time. I thought I'd be back to normal by now... not waddling around the house feeling sorry for myself!

Any suggestions as to what to do would be gratefully received - surely this is not normal.

I would contact the hospital. That doesn't sound right.

Peppermint in hot water and move around as much as you can. Hope you deflate soon

They say it can take a few days for the gas to disappear, I know mine was gone within 3 days. What are your wounds like? Any chance you've an infection?
