Burst cyst and appendix taken out

Was taken to a and e last week, and after tests I had to have an emergency operation. They took my appendix out and also noticed I had a burst cyst with fluid in my pelvic region, so they said they gave me a wash out and sent a sample to pathology.

Anyone else had a burst cyst?

Yes and dam painful it was. Hospital thought it was an appendix problem but scan showed the fluid in the body cavity. A few hours later the pain started to lighten and I was home that night.
The cramp like pain was about a nine out of ten, if childbirth is a ten.

Yes, collapsed with the pain taken to A&E, admitted . Have never been in so much pain apart from full blown labour, felt like one looooong contraction. OP hope you're recovering well.
