Norovirus, work

I had bad diarrhoea last week and took Friday off as diarrhoea was constant.

Then the whole family started feeling terrible, including me over Sunday, all being sick and awful diarrhoea. It appears to be norovirus.

I have still got diarrhoea, all day long. I know the guidelines are that you should wait 48 hours after last spell of diarrhoea before returning to work. But I have already taken 3 days off. I feel really guilty when I am not at work. Can someone reassure me that I am doing the right thing not going to work? Is it ok to go if I am completely scrupulous about contact with others (work in office)

I haven't felt up to doing anything from home but I hope that I could feel ok to do some work from home tomorrow.

Do not go in

Bugger feeling guilty

you'd feel more guilty if you passed it around the whole office

You are absolutely doing the right thing by staying off.

You can't be completely scrupulous if you are working in an office with others as you will be using the copier, kitchen etc.

If you haven't been up to doing anything today then you definately aren't well enough to go to work tomorrow.

Please don't feel guilty about staying in, especially if you think you might be able to wfh tomorrow.

Be kind to youself and I hope you feel better soon

Ok thanks guys. I've got to let go of the guilt! Silly really. I am the main wage earner so I worry about stuff like this.

Thank you for the reassurance.
