Tinnitus driving me nuts!

Not really after advice but need a bloody good moan. I have a sore throat, like bloody razor blades and it's affecting my sinuses too and in turn my ears. My tinnitus is driving me INSANE! I'm tired and grumpy and feeling sorry for myself.

Tinnitus is really annoying. I suffered some hearing loss and got some tinnitus. My ears accomodated to the changes in the end and I don't notice the tinnitus so much now. But it is soo present and distracting and bloody annoying. Maybe try some background noise, radio or white noise at night? I always find my tinnitus is way worse when I'm tired too - so get thee to bed and have a doze! Have you taken anything for your sinuses - sinutab or whatever? Probably would help with the pressure on the ear canal?

Me too!

I have intermittent pulsatile tinnitus, after a bad sinus infection over christmas. My ear feels like it has a balloon in it (sorry, can't think of a better description) and feels blocked but my hearing is fine AFAIK.

My friend's dad suffers from it and he listens to classical music on his iPod at a low volume. He drifts off to sleep in no time. Try it!

Can't take anything as still bf. Sad I always have my iPod on at night. Not the radio since ds2 pulled the ariel out. Angry have to agree it does get worse with tiredness but no chance if a nap today, alas alas. Hopefully an early ish night instead. Sad

I did also try Hopi ear candles. Was quite pleasant during - kinda like massage for the ears (I bought some from a massage lady and did it at home). She said it could help with the tinnitus. Not sure it did but it was quite pleasant for 10min or so. Might be better for an ENT type infection though (altho' guess unless you live down the street from an alterantive health place getting hold of them imminently might be tricky).

I might try for a referral to the management clinic again, was denied last time as not severe enough! Despite 6 week course of aural antibiotics to reduce infection. Angry
