Just wondered if anyone has heard of or had this teratment. I understand that it is a type of chiropractor treatment, and I have also been a bit unsure about this.

I am currently seeing an osteopath but, tbh, I'm not even sure of the difference.

Thanks.

I'm seeing an osteopath at the moment, but have seen Chirpractors too in the past - including a McTimoney.

Talking to my osteopath last week, he said the main difference from a clients experience will be massage - Osteopaths do a lot more than chiropractors (who do more manipulations).

Mctimoney is a less aggressive form of chiropractic - they do sort of tiny tapping manipulations. It's quite hard to describe - they sort of place their fingers against the area to be manipulated and then tap/smack the fingers with their other hand. I remember the first time I went, having seen a traditional chiropractor for a few years I was a bit underwhelmed and didn't think she''d done much for the money during the treatment - but it worked!!

getting slightly waffly now, but in summary I've found its not so much that any one type of treatment is better than another, its more down to the individual practitioner
