Vomiting without diarrhoea

DH and I treated ourselves to a takeaway last night. About 3 hours after eating I started to vomit. Once my tummy was clear of food I sipped water and didn't vomit again. I had a slight temperature and no appetite. I'm feeling much better now.

DH was fine until tonight when he vomited a couple of times. Neither of us have diarrhoea.

We have an 8mo DD and she is fine so far.

Could this be winter vomiting virus?

Not a medic, but I had winter vomiting virus a few years ago. No diarrhoea but constant compulsive vomiting for 24-48 hours, and everyone in the family had it (it's very very contagious). Yours sounds milder than that, so perhaps food poisoning?
